Riding Instructor
This full-time instructor will be responsible for providing riding instruction according to PATH Intl. guidelines with the utmost attention given to maintaining rider, volunteer, and horse safety. Evenings and Saturdays will be required. All hours must be worked on-site. This position can be physically demanding and requires the ability to mount and dismount participants weighing up to 200 pounds, running and standing on arena footing, and working outside in all weather. Candidates with interest in obtaining PATH Intl. CTRI certification welcome.

Summer Camp Riding Instructor
The Summer Camp Riding Instructor will teach beginner to immediate young riders.
Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
8, Monday-Friday Sessions
June 17-August 9
- Plans, leads, and implements lessons for counselors-in-training and summer campers
- Provides high-quality equestrian education
- Supervises riders and ensures their safety, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being
- Maintains and follows a schedule for riders
- Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with Thorncroft’s Policies and Procedures

Summer Camp Activity Leader
The Activities Leader will support the instructor during equine activities and lead group projects and activities for campers. Duties will consist of:
- Plans, leads, and implements camp activities for children
- Provides high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants
- Supervises campers and ensures their safety, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being
- Maintains and follows a schedule for camp participants
- Organizes and leads various small and large group activities
- Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with Thorncroft’s Policies and Procedures

Weekend Barn Manager
Thorncroft is seeking a Weekend Shift Manager Position. Competitive hourly rate.
Saturdays 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday 12:00 pm -5:00 pm
30 – 35 horses
Lessons on Saturday ONLY, Sunday closed to lessons and reserved for clinics/events
Duties include but not limited to:
• Grooming and tacking horses for lessons
• Overseeing volunteers/working students and other barn staff to make sure daily tasks get done and barn gets locked for overnight
• Keeping the barn clean/organized
• Putting hay in stalls, filling water buckets, sweeping aisles, cleaning and filling outside water tubs, putting hay in outside fields
• Bring in/turn out of horses
• Feeding horses
• Occasional mucking if stall mucker cannot make it. (Shavings, stalls)
• Helping students groom and tack horses
