Days Of Service
Our staff will help organize these days as learning and team building opportunities, in addition to being productive help to our farm and mission.
Which groups can sign up?
School groups 8th grade and up, Colleges & Universities, Corporations & Small Businesses are all welcome to sign up for a day at the farm! Volunteers must be over 13 years of age and sign a visitor release. Those who need accommodations are always welcome.
What does the day look like?
Beginning the day with a tour of our farm, your group will learn about Thorncroft’s history, mission, and programming. Mai projects are based on current weather, as well as the time of year and upcoming events. The conclusion of your day will include a meet and greet or demo with one of our beloved herd members.
When are the best times to sign up?
Days of Service are held in April, May, June, August, September, and October. In addition to seasonal tasks, we appreciate help with Special Event set up, farm clean up and property maintenance, and improvement projects. These event dates include but are not limited to the 2 weeks before Memorial Day for our Therapeutic Riders Division show, the last week of August for our 5k & 1-mile fundraiser, and any listed clinics.
