What is the Lobstah Bake?
Now in its 12th year, Thorncroft’s Lobstah Bake & BBQ invites our community to join us in support of our riders and the horses who make our mission possible.
Chaired by Craig and Maire Kandravi, this year’s event places a spin on our traditional seated dinner, which has become a staple of the Main Line’s fall calendar.
Guests can choose between a socially distanced and seated table, carry-out dinner, or premium tailgating experience!
In addition to live music by The Sin Brothers and phenomenal food by Chesapeake Seafood Caterers and Jimmy’s BBQ, guests will be treated to custom cocktails by Aaron Gordon and 13th Street Cocktails, a performance by Thorncroft’s equestrian drill team, The Mainstreamers, and take part in, or view, or second-annual tailgating competition!
At Sponsorship levels of Crusher Claw and above, you and your guests will have the unique opportunity to enjoy the evening from a named, premium tailgate spot! Be sure to reserve your spot while spaces last.
Each tailgate spot will be supplied with a table. Lobstah and BBQ dinners will be delivered to your named area. Please feel free to bring any tents, chairs, and other tailgating accessories you and your guests desire.
And don’t forget those decorations for our Second Annual Tailgate Competition! The most festive location will be crowned tailgate champion and take home the Golden Lobstah.

Returning for our 12th Annual Lobstah Bake & BBQ, is the option to take your Lobstahs & BBQ to go! Friends purchasing carry-out orders will receive their meals already cooked and ready to go in a large bag. All carry-out orders include, per-person, one cooked lobster, one piece of corn on the cob, steamed potatoes, steamed little neck clams, and one pork-BBQ sandwich. Our apologies, no substitutions or revisions may be made. You will receive your designated pick-up time between4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. via email prior to the event. All orders to be picked up at Thorncroft Equestrian Center, 190 Line Road in Malvern. The Lobstah Bake & BBQ is a rain or shine event. $95.00 per person.
Dine-In Tent Seating Information
For those joining us on-site, guests will receive a seat, or table depending on sponsorship level selected, in our open-air type tent where tables will be arranged at least six-feet apart. Guests in our tent seating will have their dinners delivered to them and will have access to our open bar with beer, wine, and soda, and great views of the tailgating field and live music. Individual tickets begin at $95.00.
Event Health & Safety Procedures
We have created an unforgettable and entertaining evening for our guests that maintain the strictest standards of safety. Our returning caterers, Chesapeake Seafood Caterers, have partnered with us to deliver exemplary sanitation measures that follow CDC guidance. These include, but are not limited to:
- Limited attendance.
- Required masking for all attendees over the age of two and without health restrictions, on all areas of the Farm, except when seated at their assigned table or tailgate.
- All dinners to be individually packaged and prepared and delivered to the table, tailgate areas, or cars for carry out pickups, by runners.
